Service Rifle at SCMLC

Historic rifles, practical marksmanship and friendly competition

Next shoot: Saturday 7th November 2026 — Sackville 300m Range

Civilian Service Rifle is becoming part of the shooting programme at Sydney Colonial Muzzle-Loading Club, giving members another opportunity to put their rifles and marksmanship to work in organised competition.

Our introduction to the discipline has drawn on support from the NSW Muzzle Loading Association and the Lee-Enfield Rifle Association of Australia.

Historic and modern rifle interests are welcome.
A .303 Lee-Enfield is a natural fit, but suitable sporting bolt-actions, open-sighted and scoped rifles can also be accommodated in appropriate classes, subject to match and range requirements.

• Confirm your rifle’s suitability and the required ammunition quantity.
• Check the start time and entry arrangements.
• Bring a chamber flag and rifle bag or slip.
• Be ready to follow the safety briefing and Range Officer commands
